A WOMAN was marooned on the roof of her car when it became stuck in flood water.
The Lexus driver was stranded on a country road near Sixpenny Handley off the A354, North Dorset.
Her car became stuck in flood water from the River Allen yesterday evening and an emergency call was made at 8.23pm.
Retained firefighters from Cranborne and Verwood came to the rescue, along with a special response team from Poole and the brigade's Land Rover.
The woman was given a life jacket and moved to safety,
