THIS week I have been finding out about Penguin Awareness Day, which is taking place on Monday, January 20, with my friends at Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park.

With 13 species of penguin now endangered, it’s important we find out more about what we can do to help their ocean environment.

My 11 penguin friends at the park are Humboldt penguins and come from Peru and Chile in South America. They love swimming and have lots of underwater adventures in their pool and their favourite type of food is sprat.

For your own annual pass to the Sea Life Park you can start collecting tokens in the Echo from January 27. See you there!

There’s a chance for for one lucky reader to win a children’s birthday party at Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park, completely free of charge, thanks to the Echo.

The lucky winner will receive a birthday party package for up to 15 children.

It will include entry to Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park, a guided tour with a party host including an underwater mission to complete.

The party includes a birthday meal and a VIP animal feed for the birthday child.

The guests will also get to explore Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park and meet more than 1,000 incredible creatures.

Just answer this question: How many penguins are there at Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park?

Send your entry on the back of a postcard to: Eli Echo Party Competition, Fleet House, Hampshire Road, Granby Industrial Estate, Weymouth, Dorset, DT4 9XD. Closing date is February 1 2014.
