VOLUNTARY and community groups are being invited to a series of events in Dorchester offering advice and support.
Dorset Community Action has organised training events to help groups in the county town and West Dorset on how to apply for funding and writing funding applications.
The first will be held at the Corn Exchange from 10am to 2.30pm on Tuesday, February 4, and is designed for new and existing groups with information about key local and national funders as well as how to put together a funding strategy.
On Tuesday, March 18 there will be a course on how to write successful funding bids at the Dorset Youth Association offices in Lubbecke Way.
A further event will be at the Corn Exchange on Tuesday, March 25.
The cost for each course for members of voluntary and community groups is £30 per person and for statutory organisations it is £50. Visit dorsetcommunity action.org.uk or call 01305250921.
