A NEW pet store in Dorchester has teamed up with a charity to help abandoned animals find a new home.
Pets at Home, which opens at 9.30am on March 7 at the Weymouth Avenue Retail Park, will work with Support Adoption For Pets.
The county town store is keen to hear from charities and re-homing centres that would like to be helped through the partnership.
Christine Burdess, store manager at Pets at Home Dorchester, said: “Our mission is to ensure that pets live a happy and healthy life. We’d love to hear from any animal charities and re-homing centres in the area so we can talk to them about our Support Adoption For Pets charity.”
The new store, featuring a pet village, reptile centre, aquatic centre and Vets 4 Pets veterinary surgery, will be opened by silver medallist Olympic sailors Stuart Bithell and Hannah Mills.
