DIGITAL signs are now helping drivers find parking spaces in Dorchester.
A scheme introduced by Dorset County Council aims to direct motorists to vacant spaces to help reduce circulating and queuing traffic as well as reducing congestion and pollution.
The council’s cabinet member for environment Hilary Cox said: “The addition of these digital signs in Dorchester will make a huge improvement for local people and visitors to the area looking for parking.
“It will cut down on queues and congestion, making the experience better for everyone.”
The digital signs will also be integrated into the council’s expanding car park guidance system that currently covers Weymouth and will soon be operational in Christchurch.
