A new exhibition at Durlston Castle, Swanage, uses traditional printmaking techniques to explore Dorset’s natural environment.
Poole Printmakers have used techniques including solar etching, lithography, lino and wood printing, letterpress, and silk-screen printing to create this exhibition of new work.
Durlston Country Park, owned and managed by the county council, will host the exhibition from April 5-21, featuring more than 100 prints by 30 different members.
The artists will also be on hand throughout the exhibition in Durlston Castle’s stunning Fine Foundation Gallery, to talk about their work, and there will be workshops on April 14 (adults) and April 15 (families) to give people the chance to experiment and produce their own original print.
The Gallery, at Durlston Castle is open daily from 11am-4pm and entry to the park, castle and the exhibition are all free.
