POLICE and ambulance crews were called to a collision scene outside the Dorset County Museum in High West Street, Dorchester, this afternoon.
A spokesman for the South Western Ambulance Service said that crews were called to reports of a two vehicle collision at around 1.30pm.
Paramedics treated a female casualty at the scene and she was taken to Dorset County Hospital to be checked over after complaining of chest pains.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said that the vehicles involved were a red Fiat registered to a lady from Wimborne and a white Vauxhall van registered to a Bristol company.
