DORCHESTER ARTS is reaching for the skies with its Acoustic Cloud Appeal.
It is renowned for delivering a rich mix of comedy, music and theatre, festivals and community arts, as well as offering space to local groups and individuals for workshops, classes and exhibitions.
And now Dorchester Arts, which is based on School Lane, wants to develop its smaller hall with a unique eco-friendly product that allows for a better acoustic environment.
These ‘Acoustic Clouds’, made from 100% natural wool, will be hung within the ceiling area to stop sound from bouncing around the room.
Artistic director Mark Tattersall said: “These eco-friendly acoustic clouds will make such a difference.”
Dorchester Arts is looking to raise enough funds to buy 11 or more Acoustic Clouds.
All sponsors names will be embroidered directly onto the clouds as a mark of thanks.
