BEAMINSTER woman and Broadwindsor House resident Peggy Ward celebrated her 100th birthday with a surprise party.
Staff at the care home kicked off celebrations by putting one hundred ‘100 Today’ balloons down the drive of Broadwindsor House.
This was followed by Peggy’s birthday drinks and lunch which all her family, friends and fellow residents attended.
Jeannie Rodway, manager of Broadwindsor House, said Peggy really enjoyed the whole day and wanted it to ‘go on and on’.
She said: “Peggy is quite remarkable and one of our most popular residents. You would never believe she is 100 years old, people mistake her for being 20 years younger.”
