A WEYMOUTH road was closed after a car crash outside a care home.
The incident happened just after 1pm when a car collided with a stationary car outside Trafalgar Care Home on Dorchester Road.
Three cars were involved in the incident, a red Peugeot 206 registered to a man from Weymouth, a black Volkswagen Golf registered to a man from Weymouth and a silver Ford Focus registered to a woman from Weymouth.
The road was closed from the Grove Avenue junction to the Milton Road junction as the vehicles were recovered.
A 21-year-old woman was injured in the collision but it is not thought her injuries are serious.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: “We were called to the incident at 1.21pm outside Trafalgar Care home on Dorchester Road.
“It appears that one vehicle collided with a stationary vehicle, which resulted in the road to be blocked in both directions.
“We closed the road until 1.37pm to allow for the recovery of the vehicles.”
A spokesman for South Western Ambulance said there was one female casualty following the incident, but she was treated on scene for minor injuries and did not need hospital treatment.
