POLICE are investigating after children from a Weymouth school were sent inappropriate messages over social media.
Dorset Police received a report on Monday evening about ‘inappropriate communication’ to pupils of Budmouth College.
A spokesman said: “Officers are working closely with the school to investigate the incident, identify victims and provide online safety messages to pupils.”
They have offered the following advice-
- Do not accept requests from strangers including friends of friends
- Check your privacy settings regularly so that only you and your friends can see posts on your wall
- If you receive images make sure you tell an adult straight away
