A CHEQUE was presented to the National Trust at a recent meeting of the National Trust South Dorset Association.
Donated cash totalling £1,440 will go towards the restoration of Granny Banke’s Garden at the Trust’s property at Kingston Lacy near Wimborne.
The AGM was held at the Brownsword Hall in Poundbury.
The association’s chairman, Geoffrey Wrench and the treasurer Phillip Price presented a cheque for £1,440 to Alex Shaw, volunteer guide at Kingston Lacy.
Local people can now enjoy the Association’s events programme and support National Trust projects even if they cannot afford NT membership.
