Our son Isaac, who is nearly eight months old, was unfortunately poorly with bronchiolitis last week and was admitted to Dorset County Hospital for observation.
We cannot praise enough the doctors and nurses who treated him there and looked after us so well – and we would also like to specially thank the kind and generous people who knit the teddy bears for the children’s ward. My son was very distressed until a doctor gave him one of these teddys and played with him for a few minutes, thus enabling observations to be taken.
Luckily he improved enormously and we were discharged the following day, with the teddy.
This kindness made a big difference to his experience of hospital and to our stay, as it must do for many poorly children, so we wanted to say a huge thank you not only to all the hospital staff but also to the thoughtful knitters.
