WEIRD science rolled into Weymouth as All Saints School pupils welcomed a lab in a lorry.
With help from scientists at defence firm Qinetiq, youngsters learnt the secrets of oil tycoons and watched as a wine glass was moved by sound alone.
All Saints' director of scientific studies Alan Hocking said: "It's a chance for people from scientific research to work with youngsters and make science fun. Some of the experiments left the children absolutely fascinated. They were seeing things they just couldn't believe."
The lorries tour the UK visiting schools, festivals and other venues, allowing people to conduct physics experiments alongside professional scientists.
Mr Hocking said: "They've been learning how to protect satellites from impacts in space, and doing all sorts of activities they wouldn't usually be able to do with us in the classroom. Some children have realised science is absolutely what they want to do."
