FIVE people have been arrested on suspicion of money laundering after an investigation into drugs supply in North Dorset.

Dorset police conducted an investigation into the alleged drugs supply in Blandford and executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at an address in the town.

Four men and a woman, all from the Blandford area, were arrested on suspicion of money laundering and released on bail until the beginning of April pending further enquiries.

The raid follows a previous one at another address in the Blandford area on Tuesday, February 17, where four men and a woman were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled class A drug.

All five have been released on bail until the end of April pending further enquiries.

Inspector Rob Chalkley said: “The town is a very safe place to live, work and visit and we are working hard to keep it that way. This operation is a result of listening to what our community tell us, that drug dealing is a real concern.

“Controlled drugs cause significant harm to communities in terms of their impact on health and increased crime required to fund habits.

“If you are involved in the supply of drugs you can expect a visit from my officers.”

Anyone with information should call Dorset Police on 101.
