YOUNG actors from the Thomas Hardye School will be treading the boards next week in a brand new play.
Students from the Dorchester school will be taking to the stage to perform Scary Play written for the National Theatre Connection's scheme, by Judith Johnson. Rehearsals have been taking place since the autumn and members of the cast will be performing for two nights on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.
Student Tom Prior, who is directing the play, said it had been hard work but good fun.
Tickets for the production are £2 for adults and £1 for children and are available from the school office.
Connections was established 13 years ago in response to a widespread demand for challenging new plays for young people to perform.
NT Connections commissions 10 new plays every year.
The plays are then brought to life through hundreds of productions, created by thousands of young actors, technicians, designers and directors, from across the UK, Ireland and further afield.
