FIREFIGHTERS alerted to premises in Weymouth town centre this afternoon found it was a false alarm call.
Crews were sent to the Costa coffee shop in St Mary Street.
Shoppers were alarmed to see two fire engines in the pedestrianised street.
A spokesman for Dorset Fire and Rescue Service said it was a false alarm and crews are returning to station.
