POLICE are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward following a minor collision in Poole.

The road traffic collision happened at 6.40pm on Tuesday June 30 on Holes Bay Road at the traffic light junction with the ASDA store.

A grey Audi A3, driven by a 39-year-old man from Poole, collided with a Honda motorcycle, ridden by a 39-year-old man from Amesbury with a nine-year-old boy as a pillion.

The Audi then struck a Triumph motorcycle, ridden by a 49-year-old woman from Wimborne, and then struck the original Honda motorcycle again.

The driver of the Audi failed to stop at the scene but called the police a short time later.

The boy and the female rider suffered minor bruising.

Inspector Matt Butler, of the Dorset Police Traffic Unit, said: "This was a relatively low speed incident and it is fortunate no one was seriously hurt.

"Anyone who witnessed the collisions or the driving of any of the vehicles immediately before the collisions is asked to contact us on the non-emergency number 101."

No arrests have been made.

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 30:326.
