THE Royal Air Force Town Show is back at Weymouth seafront next week.

Residents and visitors will have the opportunity to visit this year’s RAF Town Show at the Jubilee Clock on Weymouth Esplanade from Tuesday to Thursday, including Weymouth Carnival Day.

The event is free of charge and visitors will be able to meet and talk to personnel about their experiences in the Royal Air Force.

The RAF Careers Information Service will be on hand to provide information about the many different career opportunities.

Flight Lieutenant Maxine Antoniou, officer at Commanding Armed Forces Careers Office Exeter, said: “We are delighted to return to Weymouth as we always receive a tremendous welcome and response. The show offers us a unique opportunity to meet the public and give them the chance to see what the RAF does first hand.”

Cllr Jason Osbourne, briefholder for tourism and culture at Weymouth and Portland Borough Council, said: “It’s great that we are able to welcome back the RAF Town Show for another year. Having the show in Weymouth on carnival day really adds to the rest of the entertainment on offer throughout that day.

“The borough council and the local volleyball club appreciate the RAF’S long-term support of the annual summer beach sports programme including the highly successful RAF Careers Beach Volleyball Classic.”

The 14th RAF Town Show will be open on Tuesday, August 18, 2pm – 5pm, Wednesday August 19, 10am – 5pm and Thursday, August 20, 10am – noon.
