THE Bridport Musical Theatre Company goes from strength to strength, as evidenced by its recent presentation of West Side Story, which was a sell-out at the Electric Palace.
This modern take on the Romeo and Juliet story involves complex choreography and challenging vocals, and takes the company to new heights. Many of the actors and dancers were new to the stage, but quickly integrated to give a strong stage presence.
Young leading actors/singers Tilly Boulay and Cameron Love gave inspiring performances. The costumes, designed and made by Brenda Swaffield and Mel Draper, provided a dazzling array of colour.
Congratulations to director Dave Swaffield, musical director Lauren Glover, choreographer Rebecca Mather and all the team.
We are very lucky to have such talent in our town.
