A DORCHESTER school choir has entered a national competition to appear in the West End.
Sunninghill Preparatory School sent a video demonstration of their 20 top singers in to the BBC's Any Dream Will Do, which is searching for a choir for Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
The pupils donned costumes and beards to perform hits from the musical for their competition entry, and now have to wait and see if it was a success.
Choir director at the school Lecca Wilson said: "The top 100 choirs get put on the BBC website and are voted for by the public and then the top 20 then get put forward and possibly have a television programme made around them.
"And then Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber will choose one to perform in the West End, which is very exciting - so please vote for us."
The closing date for entries to the choir competition is May 12, with the top 20 ranked choirs announced on May 19.
The winning choir, as selected by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, will perform live on the final show of Any Dream Will Do and will be invited to appear in the West End for a special Children In Need performance of Joseph.
