BAR worker Kristine Clarke, 21, from Weymouth, who has been smoking for around six years, isn't thinking about quitting when the new legislation comes in.
She said: "If I'm going to give up I will do so because I want to - not because of the smoking ban.
"I'm still going to go out to pubs and clubs, I just probably won't smoke quite as much because it will be more of a hassle.
"But even as a smoker I do think that the ban is a good idea, because at the moment it's just not fair on the non-smokers."
