I REFER to the story Cars hit by vandals' (Echo, May 16) about damage to vehicles in Icen Way, Dorchester.

However, it's not just Icen Way that is targeted.

My friend came to stay at my house on Saturday night and left her car outside in Bridport Road, Dorchester.

When she got up on Sunday morning some moron had keyed her car from front to back.

My mum and dad never park their car on the Bridport Road at night because they can't risk anyone vandalising the car.

I am sure the people along our road have had the same thing happen at some point in time.

My friend did not ring the police about this incident because she said felt there was no point and nothing would be done about it.

It would be a good idea if they put CCTV up on Bridport Road as not only are things vandalised, people use this road as a racetrack at night.

Most Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays foul and abusive language and shouting and screaming from drunken passers-by wake us.

And then the council expects us to pay £80 a year to park our cars in unsafe places.
