THE A37 is blocked after a two car crash.
Emergency services were called to the scene just before midday after two cars, a silver Ford Focus and a grey Audi, crashed.
It occurred near to the Long Ash Lane service station near Frampton, just north of Maiden Newton.
It is not yet know if there are any injuries, or how serious they are.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “We were called to a report of a two vehicle crash at 11.48am this morning.
“The road is blocked in both directions and police officers are currently at the scene managing the traffic.
“The vehicles will also be recovered shortly.”
The roads are particularly dangerous for drivers today due to the deluges of rain the county is experiencing, and motorists are advised to take extra care.
