A DORSET firm specialising in security and fire safety has promoted two of its longest serving staff members to new key positions.

Wessex Fire and Security, which is part of the Wessex Group firm in Shaftesbury but provides services to people across the county, has promoted Dee Marsh and Lisa Merefield to new customer service positions.

The pair have more than 40 years’ service between them and working alongside service manager Jess Lutwyche, the pair ensure that customers are kept up to date about changes and innovations within the fire and security sector.

They will routinely visit clients to resolve queries and help them get the most from the systems and equipment installed and maintained by Wessex Fire & Security.

Both have returned to full-time work after more than a decade on shorter hours to raise their children.

Chris Stott, managing director, said: “Dee and Lisa have been with us for a long time and both really understand the needs of customers.

“As we grow we want to make sure we maintain our high levels of customer service.

“Appointing Dee and Lisa into their new roles is one more measure underpinning our delivery of great customer service.

“Both will be working across the residential and commercial parts of our business and will be keeping customers aware of developments in the industry and everything that is new and available from us.

“They will be working with our Service Manager but also with the Quality Manager to ensure our service is always kept at the highest possible level”.

Dee joined the company 24 years ago as an after school filing girl and Lisa started at Wessex Building Services in 2008 before moving to the fire and security part of the group in 2003.

Wessex Fire and Security employs 80 staff and has a turnover of £7m and is active in all areas of fire and security across the south.

It is part of the Wessex Group which includes Wessex Building Services, Wessex Electricals, Wessex Renewables, Wessex HVAC and Plumbing and Wessex Property Care.
