A MAN in his 50s is helping police with enquiries following an assault in Weymouth.
Police were called to an address on The Esplanade, Weymouth, at around 11.20am this morning following a report of an assault.
Five police officers attended the scene, as well as paramedics.
A man in his 60s was checked over for injuries but did not need to go to hospital.
A spokeswoman for South Western Ambulance Service said: "We had a report of a male who had been assaulted. We attended and treated him at the scene."
A spokeswoman for Dorset Police confirmed a man in his 50s was now helping police with their enquiries.
