Hi readers

So, we’ve got through another Easter safely. The clocks have also gone forward and both of us have finally adjusted to the change in times.

We don’t know about you but we find this clocks going forwards and backwards a little irritating because for a few days, it mucks up our body clocks and sleep patterns. However the upside is that it is nice to have longer and lighter evenings, even if the mornings are a bit darker for a few weeks.

The best thing about British Summertime is the change in weather. As we write this, which we had to start a couple of weeks ago, we are basking in glorious sunshine on Carluccio’s balcony. What could be a better way to work and pass an hour in the afternoon?

Now that the days are getting longer we are really looking forward to some nice dry spells of weather, no rain and being able to sit outside more.

We can’t wait for it to get warmer so we can head outside for picnics, attend the free concerts in borough gardens and even, if we are lucky enough to get some hot weather this summer, go sunbathing and swimming in the sea. But of course, we hope it’s not too hot as we don’t want to get sunburnt and end up looking like cooked lobsters!

What are you looking forward to this summer? Are you going to be watching the Olympics and Paralympics? Will you be going to Dorchester or Weymouth Carnival? We feel very lucky as Dorset has so many things to do in its fantastic countryside and coast.

We’d love to hear what our reader friends are looking forward to doing in our beautiful county when the weather warms up so please write in and tell us.
