Discovery, The Timewalk & Brewery Days attraction have teamed up with the Dorset Echo to offer readers the chance to win 10 Family tickets to the attraction.
Prepare to be taken aback as you embark on the award winning Timewalk journey. Winner of the coveted BTA "Come to Britain Trophy" in 1990 (Known as the Tourism Oscars) An extraordinary journey that tells the story of Weymouth's turbulent past and strong maritime connections as seen through the eyes of Miss Paws, the brewery cat and her 8 feline ancestors. The journey takes you back in time to the 14th century and recreates the sights, sounds and smells of 6 hundred years of maritime history. The Museum is home to the Borough Collection, which reflects the social history of the area. Covering the patronage of George III at the end of the 18th Century, to the importance of the area as a naval port.
Discovery is an interactive centre designed to be enjoyed by all the family. There are over 60 exhibits in 2000 sq. ft, all easy to use and understand. Most visitors spend between 1 and 2 hours with us, some much longer. The Discovery shop is full of puzzles, gadgets, interesting books and pocket money toys - priced from less than £1 upwards.
