THREE bosses were expecting a business breakfast at Weymouth College.
But students surprised them with special employer awards for their year-round help with work placements. Schools across Weymouth and Portland nominated Weymouth's Rembrandt Hotel, Terry Allen Motors and the Lanehouse Vauxhall dealership but thanked more than 150 others who help with work-based learning.
Chesil Education Partnership manager Gary Fooks said: "These employers really bend over backwards to help our kids with work experience, sometimes taking on three or four youngsters at a time.
"All the businesses are incredibly important to the development of our young people."
