RSPB staff at Radipole Lake in Weymouth are asking people to bring their used stamps in to the visitor centre to help save the world's albatrosses.
Extinction faces 19 out of 21 species of this famous bird and centre assistant Andrew Taylor said: "Albatrosses are the ultimate endurance performers, living life in the toughest oceans of the world, and they are supremely adapted to it.
"The wandering albatross has a wingspan of 11 feet and can fly thousands of miles.
"They are now drowning in their thousands, caught on the millions of baited hooks used by longline fishing boats."
