BRIDPORT manager Adam Fricker wants his side to play without pressure as they travel to Buckland Athletic tomorrow (3pm).

The Bees played well in their Les Phillips Cup defeat to Willand Rovers last weekend and the manager knows his side can mix it with sides that are flirting with the top of the Toolstation Western Premier Division table.

He told Echosport: “On paper, people aren’t looking at us to do anything, so anything we get is a bonus.

“We’ll look to get at them and we are expecting us to give a good account of ourselves.”

That lack of pressure will also come from the fact that the Bees are down to the bare bones.

Adam Barrett isn’t expected to play until the new year and Elliot Mann has just had a wrist operation meaning he is set to miss tomorrow’s clash.

Louis Rutter is also a doubt with Fricker giving him a 50/50 chance to take part against Buckland.

Alan Hill is also missing as is Braeden Symes, who’s suspended.

In better news, Gary Bulman could come back into the side after recovering from a foot injury.

The manager added: “We’re going to be five light, which is a struggle. Once we get through Saturday we will get some of these players back and we will have some strength in depth again.

“It’s just one of those things.”

The Bees currently sit 16th in the standings after 16 games.
