MARK Jermyn wants a reaction out of his players against Kettering Town tomorrow (3pm) after Tuesday’s humbling 4-1 loss to Cirencester Town.

The Magpies’ boss was critical of players in the aftermath of that loss and wants his charges to come out firing against the Poppies.

He told Echosport: “I’m envisaging a much better performance than we put out on Tuesday.

“I want them to work hard and play to their maximum.”

The side’s met on the opening day with Kettering winning 3-0 at the Avenue.

But, they’ve only won once at home all season and Jermyn wants to try and exploit that pressure.

He added: “There’s obviously something hanging over them at home, whether that is the crowd or something else.

“We must establish ourselves early on.”

Chris Dillon is set to come back into the side having had work commitments on Tuesday. Jermyn is suspended for the clash so will be limited to the dugout.
