The Dorset Echo has teamed up with Living Heritage Events to offer lucky readers to win family tickets to attend the Devon Game and Country Show!

With competitions and challenges arranged for the experienced and beginner in Clay Shooting, Fly-Fishing, Lurcher and Terrier Gun Dog Handling, Traditional Archery and Gundog Multi Scurries and Fun dog competitions, the new South Western Game and Country show (Westpoint Show Ground, July 21st & 22nd 2007, 10am - 6pm daily) is looking good.

Experienced organisers Living Heritage planned arena displays have something for all. From Gundog displays, to Heavy Horse Logging, Sheepdog displays, Mounted Games (championships), Deer Stalking, Long Netting and Decoys, Scurry Driving (championships), Falconry Displays (Falcons, Hawks and Owls), Ferret handling, parade of hounds, Fly casting and superb Side - Saddle Riding.

Each of the country sports will offer top level tuition from experts for Have a Go' and competitions. The Alpha Young Countryman of the Year Challenge 2007 is for boys and girls between the ages of 9 - 16. After competing in the heat at Devon, winners will be invited to go on to the grand final at Belvoir in October 2007.

There are over 200 country trade stands and superb regional food halls to shop at, selling everything from country clothing to fishing and shooting gear and local meats, wines and produce.
