AS part of a bumper summer of comedy at The Berry Theatre in Hedge End, theatre bosses have announced that talented satirist Jeremy Hardy will return after impressing during the theatre’s debut season in 2011.

He will take to the stage on May 13 to kick off a season which also includes Dave Johns, star of the BAFTA-winning I, Daniel Blake and master joke craftsman Gary Delaney.

Having begun his career in stand-up comedy in 1984, this is Jeremy’s fourth decade on tour, and unless he wins the lottery, he says he’s planning on at least another four.

Known for his frequent radio appearances on The News Quiz and I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue, as well as presenting ten series’ of his own BBC Radio 4 show, Jeremy Hardy Speaks to the Nation, he also pops up regularly on TV in the likes of QI, Mock the Week and Grumpy Old Men.

After a brief hibernation period over the winter, Jeremy Hardy is ready to get back out on the road with his witty and incisive political comedy. He’s pretty sure that in 2017 he won’t be short of things to talk about.

Dave Johns, the multi award-winning film actor and much-loved stand-up, appears on June 2.

Gary Delaney bringing There’s Something About Gary, which promises an endless flow of top quality jokes, to the Berry Theatre stage on July 14.
