BOLTON’S ‘number one casual dining experience’ opens tonight.

The Bank is launching a pop-up restaurant with the potential for it to become a permanent feature in The Vaults.

The restaurant has already proved a hit at its original and permanent home in Breightmet, but is now looking to expand and has taken the spot previously occupied by the Eagle and Child.

The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner with an extensive and varied menu.

Husband-and-wife team Aron and Lyndsey Sloly have run the restaurant in the former TSB building in Bury Road since 2015.

On Tripadvisor, the restaurant is rated second in Bolton, behind only the Royal Balti House in Farnworth.

Mr Sloly said this makes The Bank the “number one casual dining experience” in Bolton.

He said: “It’s an amazing opportunity for our small, family-run business to stand alongside the likes of Nandos and Prezzo. We’re going to do it for a couple of months so we can see how it goes and see how it pans out. Looking at the footfall for the shopping centre, it’s huge.”

At lunch the restaurant will serve light options such as wraps, burritos and club sandwiches as well as salads and half portions of hot dishes. The dinner menu will be cooked to order and will include burgers, skewers, steaks as well as fish and pasta dishes.

Nikki Wilson-Cook, centre manager at the Market Place, said: “This exciting new pop-up is the place to go for ‘great food, hot coffees, cheeky wines, cold beers and good times’ – a perfect new addition to The Vaults’ growing list of popular eateries.”
