A FISHING vessel has sunk off the coast of Portland.
There were three people aboard the Lucy when she got into difficulty two miles south-east of the island.
They were picked up by the vessel Superstar and taken back into Weymouth, where Wyke Regis coastguards were waiting to meet them.
The Weymouth Lifeboat was launched to investigate the water and locate any problems.
And coastguards at Portland Bill were alerted to keep an eye on the area.
None of the crew aboard the Lucy spent any time in the water and none were hurt in the incident.
