A TRAIN strike on Friday will result in limited services to Blackburn and Manchester from Bolton.
Northern Rail has released its timetables for Friday, when members of the RMT union will be on strike for 24 hours.
A dramatically reduced service will be in operation.
The first train from Bolton to Blackburn will not run until 8.58am and there will then be one service an hour, with the last train leaving at 3.58pm.
The first train to Manchester Victoria will not leave Bolton until 10.11am, with one service an hour until 5.11pm.
On the Blackpool North to Manchester Airport line, the first service will leave Bolton at 7.34am to the airport with one service an hour until the last train at 8.48pm.
Going to Blackpool North, the first train is at 6.53am but regular services start at 9.07am, with a train an hour from then until 10.07pm.
Transport for Greater Manchester has said that there may also be disruption first thing on Saturday as service patterns re-form.
People are being warned that alternative modes of transport, such as buses, trams and the roads will be busier and that journey times will be longer, particularly at in the morning and at peak evening times and are being urged to plan ahead and consider whether their journey is necessary.
