TALENTED cricketers from a Puddletown school have been hit for six with an award for their sporting prowess.
Players from the indoor six-a-side team at St Mary's Middle School beat nine other schools to claim the South and West Dorset trophy.
PE teacher Chris Standing said: "They are a fantastic bunch of young cricketers who love their cricket.
"There's bags of talent in the team and we may even have some Freddie Flintoffs or Kevin Pietersens of the future."
Tina Talbot presented the team with its trophy on behalf of Weymouth-based tournament sponsors the Nielsen Clinic.
