A WEYMOUTH woman in her 60s was seriously injured in a car crash in Dorchester.
Emergency services were called after her red Suzuki Swift was in a collision with a black Lexus, registered to a Wiltshire company, on Bridport Road at around 4.30pm yesterday afternoon.
The woman was taken to Dorset County Hospital by ambulance to be treated for a serious injury.
The road was closed in both directions between the Monkeys Jump Roundabout and Holmead Walk for several hours while the woman was treated by paramedics and the vehicles were recovered.
Mallards Green was also closed due to the accident. A spokesman for Dorset Police said all roads were reopened at about 7pm.
