CUBS and firefighters got together to launch new fire safety education packs aimed at young children.
Dorset Fire and Rescue Service officially launched the 'Safe Awareness and Fire Education - Dorset' (SAFE-D) pack at Dorchester Fire Station.
They aim to help educate five to 10-year-olds about the work of firefighters, how to call for help in an emergency and road safety among other issues.
Chief fire officer Darran Gunter said: "By educating our children and young people in safety issues we not only make them aware of the dangers and consequences but also allow them to make choices about their safety."
Lin Parvin, Akela of Central Sawmills Cubs in Dorchester, said: "The packs will be extremely useful for leaders as they will provide information for cubs to gain their badges on home and fire safety. The packs will also enhance the cubs' visits to fire stations."
