Confidence in acting while getting to know each other - that was the main objective of the class.

They did games like 'fruit and animals' and telling the truth or lying. At first they were embarrassed to act in front of students but as they got more involved their confidence rose and they used props to build up their imagination. We asked them a variety of questions, like 'have you enjoyed acting so far?' and most of them said that 'it's all right'.

And we asked the lecturer (Lisa) if she could describe acting in one word and she said 'essential'.

A couple of the lecturers said that acting takes a lot of skill and a lot of time and effort.
