Dorset's skies are set to be filled with colour for this year’s bonfire night. Here is a roundup of the events that will be happening near you.

West Bay will celebrate bonfire night early with a free bonfire and beach firework display on Saturday. The bonfire will start at 5.30pm and the firework display will begin at 8pm. There will be a bar, hot food, live music and more. Any profits from the event will go towards the Christmas tree on Harbour Green and towards local good causes.

A firework display will take place at Leweston School in Sherborne on Thursday, November 2. The event is open to all the family, with food, refreshments and sweet stalls available. Adult tickets cost £5 and children’s tickets cost £3.

Wareham Wednesday’s monster firework display will return this year. The event will take place at Swanage and Wareham Rugby Club on Friday, November 3 and will begin at 6pm. Visitors will be treated to live music and there will be food stalls, a bar and a fun fair available. Tickets cost £5 for adults and children under 10 attends for free.

A firework display will be held at St Mary’s Academy in Beaminster. Gates will open at 6pm and there will be a fun fair and BBQ available. Adult tickets cost £3 and children’s tickets cost £1. No sparklers allowed. The event will take place on Friday, November 3.

Charmouth is set to have its skies clustered with colour at its beach firework event. The event will take place on Saturday, November 4 and will begin at 5pm with the fireworks set to launch at 6.45pm. For more details visit www.charmouth.org A free fireworks extravaganza will be held on The Cobb on Lyme Regis harbour on Saturday, November 4. The display is in aid of local charities and donations are encouraged. The display will be followed by a beach bonfire. The event will take place at the Swan Inn on Saturday, November 4 and will begin at 6pm with fireworks set to launch at 7pm. Visitors can expect mulled wine, a BBQ and more.

North Dorset RFC in Gillingham will play host to a fireworks display. The event will take place on Saturday, November 4 and is being organised by Shaftesbury & Gillingham Round Table. The event will begin at 5.30pm.

A fireworks display will take place at Parsonage Farm in Dewlish. The event will take place on Saturday, November 4 from 5.30pm to 8pm. Visitors can expect live music from the Dan Moore Band as well as a BBQ, hot drinks, a licenced bar and more. Adult tickets cost £5 and children’s tickets cost £3. Family tickets will also be available for families of five and will cost £15.

An exciting firework event will be held at Bridport Leisure Centre on Saturday, November 4. The event will begin at 7pm but fireworks aren’t expected until 8pm. All proceeds will go towards local charities and good causes. Visitors will also be able to buy burgers and hots dogs. Tickets cost £4 and under 12s attend for free.

A spectacular firework display will take place at Sherborne Castle on Saturday, November 4. There will be live music, fairground rides and refreshments from 5pm with the bonfire set to be lit at 7pm and followed by fireworks at 7.30pm. Tickets will be available on the gate and will cost £8 for adults, £6 for children and OAPs. Car parking is £4.

A fireworks display will take place in Spetisbury at 10 West End. The event will be held on Saturday, November 4 and will begin at 6.30pm with adult tickets costing £5 and £3 for children. Visitors should be aware that there are no toilet facilities on site.

An exciting array of fireworks will take to the sky above Morden Village Hall. The event is free to attend, and visitors will be able to enjoy hot food and refreshment as well as live music from 2Unz. The event will take place on Saturday, November 4.

Thousands of children and their families will gather on Weymouth seafront for this year’s bonfire night to enjoy the free traditional community Guy Fawkes celebrations (see the other story on this page). The event will begin at 3pm on Sunday, November 5. The beach bonfire will be lit at 7.40pm with fireworks are set to begin at 8pm.

A fireworks display will take place at Dorchester Rugby Club on Saturday, November 4 and visitors can expect a hog roast, BBQ, bar and more. Gates will open at 6pm. Tickets are only available on the door and cost £12 for a family, £5 for adults and £3 for children.

A fireworks event will be held in Southill on Saturday, November 11 this year. The event will take place at Southill Shopping Centre on Radipole Lane at 6.30pm and there will also be a hog roast and music from Matt Black.
