A tour coach operator based near Dorchester has donated a staggering £2,000 to the Friends of Dorset County Hospital.

Crossways Travel operates day excursions and Holiday Tours from Dorset.

Recently the company made their Charity of the Year donation for 2017 to The Friends of Dorset County Hospital.

This year Crossways Travel, along with the help of their loyal customers donated a staggering £2,000 at its annual Christmas party lunch, held in the New Forest.

The money raised will go towards the much needed new radiography unit currently under construction at Dorset County Hospital, meaning those that require treatment in our area will be able to receive treatment without the need to travel further afield to other hospitals.

Kadi Crocker, owner of Crossways Travel said she was delighted with the amount raised this year for the charity and that The Friends of Dorset County Hospital were very grateful.

She added that the company is now starting the planning for 2018's Charity of the Year, the Dorset Blind Association.

She said she would like to thank all the people that have made this donation possible.
