An investigation has been launched after a 34-year-old man was sadly found dead in a rural area near Dorchester.
Emergency services were called after the man’s body was found near a river to the rear of a house in Frome Vauchurch, near Maiden Newton, at 3.45pm on Thursday.
Dorset Police say they are working to establish the full circumstances of the man’s death, however they do not believe it to be suspicious. His next of kin have been informed and the coroner notified.
The NPAS helicopter launched at 7.20pm on Thursday to assist police with a search of the Maiden Newton area following the discovery.
Police say enquiries are ongoing, and the investigation has now been referred to the coroner.
