A number of train lines were blocked earlier due to fallen trees.
Train services running across the whole South Western Railway network were affected and either cancelled, delayed or revised.
Services from Weymouth, Bournemouth and Southampton to London Waterloo were affected due to a tree blocking the railway at Shawford.
Disruption lasted until around 11am.
Passengers were encouraged to speak to station staff, or use a station help point, and keep checking online for updates.
A spokesman for South Western Railway said: "Following the high winds overnight we have received reports of a number of trees blocking the line.This is causing network wide disruption, and large amounts of delays.
"We are sorry for any disruption to your journey this morning."
