As councils across the country charge so much money for people to dispose of their ‘rubbish’ (which does not form part of the kerbside collections) it makes me wonder if the ‘clear up’ costs, in Dorset’s case being £230,000, as reported in the Echo of 17 Jan, what’s the gain for the council?
Is it any wonder that some individuals choose to go down this route to save themselves money when in fact it will cost us all dear in increased council taxes?
