A British Army paratrooper and fitness coach is set to deliver a talk at The Storehouse Church in Dorchester.

The talk is called Battle Drills and will be given by Gerrit Bantjes, who now works full time for the charity Care for the Family.

Mr Bantjes who is also a husband and father has a real compassion and understanding of life’s highs and lows.

The charity Care for the Family has been supporting and encouraging families in the UK and Isle of Man since 1988 through training courses, events, resources and other initiatives.

During the talk, he aims to share biblical and other practical strategies for dealing with everyday life.

Mr Bantjes will explore key topics such as how you are stronger than you think, the need to train yourself to be Godly and how to keep on and finish the race.

Rob Parsons OBE, founder and chairman of Care for the Family said: “I’ve shared platforms with Gerrit many times. He is one of the most compelling speakers I have ever had the privilege to work with. I am convinced that whether you are sports mad or your idea of exercise is searching for the remote you will find this event unmissable.”

The talk will take place at the church on Saturday March 24 and will begin at 9am.
