A MAN has been found dead outside the public toilets in Weymouth's Nothe Gardens.
Police are not treating the incident, which occurred in the early hours of Sunday, as suspicious.
Detective Inspector Shaun Inkpen of Dorset Police said officers had been called by the ambulance service shortly after midnight on Sunday, May 13, following reports that a man in his 20s had been found unconscious outside the public toilets on Barrack Road, which runs through Nothe Gardens.
“Officers attended, but sadly, despite the best efforts of medical staff, the man was pronounced dead at the scene," Det. Insp. Inkpen said.
“Following an initial investigation into the circumstances, we are not treating his death as suspicious.
“We have informed his next of kin and the coroner has been notified.”
