A man was arrested after reports that someone was carrying a knife on Weymouth seafront.
Police received reports of a man believed to be in possession of a knife in the area of the Weymouth Pavilion shortly after 1.30 pm on Monday, May 14. Officers attended and detained the man on Weymouth beach, close to the Jubilee Clock.
The man was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and has been assisting officers with their inquiries.
There were no reports of any injuries or threats made to any members of the public.
