A second man has been arrested in connection with an attack on Christmas Eve last year that left two men hospitalised with facial injuries.
At around 5.10 pm on Sunday, December 24, last year, Dorset Police were called to reports of a disturbance in King Street.
Officers attended and found two men injured outside a convenience store. Both victims were taken to hospital to be treated for facial injuries.
Reports stated that the two victims had been assaulted by two other men.
A 30-year-old Weymouth man previously arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent was released under investigation.
A 24-year-old man, of no fixed abode, has also now been arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent; he has also been released under investigation.
